Terms

Thanks for using our products and services (“Services”). The Services include the web console, the public and private REST APIs, the client SDKs and the prebuilt UI components. By using our Services — whether through the console, an API key, or one of our SDKs — you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

Using our Services

You must follow any policies made available to you within the Services. Do not misuse our Services. For example, do not interfere with them or try to access them using anything other than the documented interfaces, SDKs and instructions we provide. You are responsible for keeping your API keys secret, and for the activity that happens under your account. You may use our Services only as permitted by law, including applicable export and re-export control laws and regulations. We may suspend or stop providing the Services if you do not comply with these terms or policies, or if we are investigating suspected misconduct. Using our Services does not give you ownership of any intellectual property rights in the Services or the content you access. These terms do not grant you the right to use any branding or logos used in our Services.

Load testing or benchmarking our shared (live) servers without prior written agreement will result in your account being closed. If you need throughput numbers for capacity planning, run those tests against your own connected search service.

Privacy and Copyright Protection

By using our Services, you agree that we can use such data in accordance with our privacy policies. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement and terminate accounts of repeat infringers. If you think somebody is violating your copyrights, please notify us.

Modifying and Terminating our Services

We are constantly changing and improving our Services. We may add or remove functionality, and we may suspend or stop a Service altogether. You can stop using our Services at any time, although we will be sorry to see you go.

Liability for our Services

WHEN PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUES, OR DATA, FINANCIAL LOSSES, OR INDIRECT, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

About these Terms

We may modify these terms or any additional terms that apply to a Service to, for example, reflect changes to the law or changes to our Services. You should review the terms regularly. We will post notice of modifications to these terms on this page. We will post notice of modified additional terms in the applicable Service. Changes will not apply retroactively and will become effective no sooner than fourteen days after they are posted. However, changes addressing new functions for a Service or changes made for legal reasons will be effective immediately. If you do not agree to the modified terms for a Service, you should discontinue your use of that Service. These terms control the relationship between Search Stack and you. They do not create any third-party beneficiary rights. If you do not comply with these terms and we do not take action right away, this does not mean that we give up any rights that we may have. If it turns out that a particular term is not enforceable, this will not affect any other terms.

By accessing or using our services, you acknowledge and agree that these Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. If you are located outside of the United States, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts in the United States for the resolution of any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms of Service. You further agree that any such disputes shall be resolved under U.S. law, and you waive any objections to the jurisdiction or venue of such courts.
